KIND ATTENTION: PARENTS OF FACEBOOK - WHATSAPP YOUTH
What I am about to share is very important and crucial not only for
your child but also for ever family in your vicinity. The Present generation of
youth and kids are increasingly becoming more technology dependent rather than
exploring things the natural way. This is leading to their lesser
time devotion to natural processes of evolution. They are becoming socially
challenged youth and kids leading to their degradation of employable
skills and soft skills to manage life under various
circumstances. My in-depth exposure to this gennext is being shared for
everyone to ponder, reflect and act.
Our fundamental process starts with seeing
, smelling , evaluating and making a choice , expanding further
we say seeing , observing , listening , exploring , experimenting,
questioning, reading , writing, presenting , documenting and archiving
skills that was taught and came naturally to GenPrev, has been lost ,not taught
to this FBWA generation. This FBWA generation are more into visual learning,
memorizing to vomit in exams, getting "MARKS" not knowledge and later
deleting everything from their attention deficit disorder brains.
Systematic observation , Listening skills
are critical for the holistic development of the child. The next obvious step
is the kid would like to question , know more ...allow them to question , do
not shrug their curiosity , give wings to their imagination. Parents should
spend more time with their kids not
their school teachers or college lecturers.90% of the educational institutions are
profit based ventures ,the teachers and lecturers , most of them, say around
90% of them join the
education department as last refuge and lack the zeal and enthusiasm to share
knowledge in an innovative and passionate manner whether in government or
private schools.
Most of the parents , double income
earning ones ,blame the lack of these skills of the child on the educational
institutions. To support the modern lifestyle comforts , parents need to have
double income and in those days gone by ,One parent was into homemaking nurturing the child qualitatively by listening to the kids, reading stories ,
watching common movies , plays and sharing the knowledge through comics
like Chandamama, Amar Chitra Katha,Tinkle,Indrajal , Tintin, Champak, Asterix,
slowly extending it to Sherlock Holmes,Hardy Boys , Famous Five Gradually developing taste towards
literature classics in drama , movies, culture and also allowing the kids to
explore games like scrabble, quiz, Trade [Monopoly] Antakshari, Dumb charades.Teaching the basic
nuances,rules of every sport and add a little history to it made the circle
of knowledge complete.
All interested parents are requested to
devote quality time daily for the development of your child ,Please do not
leave such a crucial tasks to half baked educators and profit centered institutions.
Make sure your child whether 6 or 16 is daily reading newspapers, comics ,magazines,
writing few articles this develops their vocabulary first and general
knowledge next. Create an activity among their friends for presentations
or quizzes weekly .Parents should be involved. Whenever your kid teenager
starts demanding a gadget , ask him to do a research, analyse it , write a
note on its budget and features and give a proper request application to
you and give a power point presentation about the Pros and Cons of the purchase.
This can lead to better communication and
involved upbringing with correct moral
values and sensitive and sensible human
beings .
You have to teach your kids the importance
of filing important articles, documents and their exam papers, reports ,
their scrap books etc. They need to file everything systematically into separate
files and folders physically and also online .Take them to their nearest post
office ,open a savings account , explain the operations and take them to your
bank and allow them to get a demand draft, which can be useful for their future
use and here special emphasis should be laid on teaching them to follow
instructions on safety , sanitation and Hygiene and a bit of civic common sense
responsibility like pollution from sound, air etc can help them to be better human beings
It is time for every parent to get out of
the social family trap to rush to give early Maggi noodles,
packing the same for lunch and also for their evening snack Having dinner from food
based app, watching negativity based TV reality shows and crime dramas,
having separate wifi's, TV's, weekend movies with tons of aerated drinks ,
junk food courts and hitting the sack with loads of tension for
tomorrow's routine. IS THIS THE LIFE ?.
Kindly get involved in exploring the real
interests of your child , let them go beyond bookish knowledge , not read for
MARKS but for knowledge For this to happen it has to start with the parent
